The IRTBA Green Council, an organization dedicated to educating the public, agencies and its membership in best practices for the industry.
Green Town is an educational seminar sponsored by the College of Lake County that showcases national and local leaders who are at the forefront in sustainable urbanism, transit-oriented development, brownfield and riverfront re-development, green building, renewable energy, municipal food scrap recycling, zero waste schools, local food systems and more. Prairie Wind (www.prairie-wind.org) is an educational site sponsored by Aldridge Electric designed for grade school, high school and college-age students interested in learning more about conservation and wind power. It features reading lists and educational activities to help children understand climate change issues and learn about alternative energy sources.
American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) With over 2,500 members & advocates, the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is the hub of the wind energy industry. AWEA promotes wind energy as a clean source of electricity for consumers around the world.
