When Len Aldridge first started his business in Nebraska in 1932, he helped bring power into peoples’ homes, barns, and businesses. The sole proprietor of Aldridge Electric, the company consisted of Len and a single truck.  Little by little, his reputation for fast, dependable service grew and his commitment to his customers soon set him apart as the best electrical contractor around.

In 1952, Len and his crew of fewer than a dozen men moved the business to Lake Forest, Illinois, where the operation thrived and by 1968, he acquired a new, larger facility in nearby Libertyville, Illinois. Over time, Aldridge Electric built a stable backlog of highway work and expanded into the commercial, industrial, and airport markets. As the company grew, Len’s sons, Warren and Ken Aldridge, joined the company and took on larger, more risky projects in the markets of mass transit, heavy infrastructure, utility, and drilling.

Len Aldridge ran the company himself until 1979, when Ken and his brother Warren took the reins of the family-owned business. Over the last 57 years, Aldridge Electric has built a reputation for being able to complete the most challenging electrical construction projects. Many of these projects resulted in lasting relationships with owners, clients and subcontractors and are still in existence today.

Today, under the leadership of Ken Aldridge, Aldridge electric has become known as one of the leading electrical contractors in the nation. We actively pursue large, complex projects in the commercial/industrial, drilling, transportation, power and utility, and renewable energy markets and are always seeking opportunities for growth and improvement. Ken's sons, Steve and Alex, share in the strategic vision for the company and will help to lead Aldridge Electric into the future.
