Reducing Emissions

Aldridge Electric maintains a fleet of more than 900 pieces of equipment, one of the largest privately-owned fleets in the nation. As a result, we believe we have an obligation to lead the quest for sustainability:

• All our off-road vehicles meet 2007 EPA emissions standards; we’re currently testing and upgrading our equipment to meet 2010 standards
• We select hybrid options for our on-road vehicles
• We use ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel for maximum efficiency
• After-market scrubbers are used for airport and tunnel work
• All employees are trained to shut down equipment when not in use and our anti-idling policy is reviewed periodically during training

We estimate that, between 2006 and 2010, our hybrid vehicles and wind turbine have resulted in a reduction of more than 37 TONS of carbon dioxide!
