Reusing and Recycling

We’re reusing supplies, both in the field and the office, to minimize waste.

Reuse of materials:

• Job conduits, reels, forms and other materials are brought back to main yard for reuse on other jobs or broken down for scrap materials
• Our kitchen uses reusable silverware and employees are provided with reusable water bottles to reduce paper/plastic waste
• Electric hand dryers in our washrooms for zero paper waste
• We strongly encourage our employees to hold “paperless” meetings and ensure overhead projectors are available in every conference room

Field recycling:

• All metals are brought to recycling containers located in yard
• Cardboard is brought back from nearby sites and crushed at the yard
• Plastic inner-duct from jobs is chopped up and recycled
• On-site recycling for job metals, plastics, and paper is encouraged

Office recycling: 

• Each cubicle has paper and plastic recycling bins, resulting in more than 30,000 lbs/yr paper recycled
  in our main office
• Cell phones, computers, batteries, printers are all recycled
• Equipment and vehicle batteries are recycled
